Mapleton City 2024 Special Events



Arbor Day

Friday, April 26th, 2024


Mapleton is a registered Tree City USA and part of the movement to expand and manage public trees. Join us on April 26th, 2024 in Maple Grove Park for a short Arbor Day program and to plant a tree. Time still to be determined.




CHALK the WALK

Mapleton’s Parkway Trail Section between 1600 North and Maple Street (East side of trail)

Monday, May 13th, 2024



Chalk the Walk along Mapleton’s Parkway Trail. You may pick any section between 1600 N and Maple Street using the EAST side of the trail.  We invite everyone in the community to bring their chalk & artistic talent to this amazing canvas! * We will be monitoring the trail to check out everyone's amazing art!!!


Just a reminder artwork MUST BE DEEMED FAMILY FRIENDLY! Mapleton Parks & Recreation at their discretion can and will ask you to leave. CHALK must be washable!!! Hosted by Mapleton Parks & Recreation.




Pioneer Days

July 13-20, 2024


Mapleton’s Pioneer Days is a week-long celebration held mid-July each year and includes sports tournaments, historical programs, a parade, 5K, park activities, helicopter ping pong drop, live entertainment, and a firework show with well over 10,000 people in attendance. This event is intended to foster community connection for residents new and old as we celebrate our community's heritage.

Concerts in the Park

Mapleton City Park Gazebo

Monday evenings at 7:00pm


Bring a chair or blanket, sit back, relax, and enjoy the music this summer with the Concerts in the Park series, Monday evenings July - August 2024. The Mapleton Farmer's Market will take place in conjunction with the Concerts in the Park from 6:30pm-8:30pm Monday evenings from July - September 2024


You will also want to take an opportunity to stroll through our Farmer’s Market and do a little shopping before the concert begins. Hosted by Mapleton Parks & Recreation




MOONlight Half Marathon

Friday, September 13, 2024


Come run in the light of the moon! The winner is the first to cross the line after midnight! No timing devices are allowed. Your pace determines when you start, you decide.


Race entry includes a shirt & FREE light up swag! Awards are given for best light up costumes!  There will be an after party with prize drawings, drinks, food, and more! Hosted by Mapleton Parks & Recreation.


Proceeds from this race go towards future amenities, maintenance and helping finish phase 4 of the trail which will connect to the trail system in Spanish Fork.
